Project Management - All about PMP Certification

Course Duration: 35 Hrs.               Timings: Weekends/Custom/Flexible
Mode of Training:  Regular/Fast Track
Why do we need PMP ?
A number of certifications have emerged like PMP or PRINCE2 and most internationally funded projects require
that there are competent and certified Project Management professionals on the planning and execution
teams. This has led to a large demand for certified professionals.
The leading qualification in this area is that of a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate
Project Manager (CAPM)-- a credential offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

What is the format of the certification examinations?
The examinations are on-line tests with 200 multiple choice questions that must be answered in 4 hours. The
certification examinations need to be scheduled and are conducted at Pro-metric centres. In the unlikely case
that an aspirant is unable to clear the examinations at the first attempt there is an option to re-appear for the
examinations and for this there is an additional fee

What are the eligibility requirements , do I have to be PM to do this certification ?
No you need not be designated as Project Manager . But there are a few eligibility criterion for applicants that
must be met :
1. 4500 Hours of experience on Projects for graduates and 7500 Hours of experience for non-graduates
2. This experience must be not less than 3 years and not more than 8 years before the application date
3. You must have attended a 36 hour course in Project management and list the PDUs
What is the process for application for the examinations ?
The application needs to be submitted on-line and aspirants are required to list their work experience in various
Process Groups and details, to meet the eligibility requirements . This is approved or rejected within about 7 -10
days and applicants must pay the fees ( approx US$ 405 for PMI members , US$ 555 for non-members) .

The unique feature of these is the individual attention paid to each student ensuring the certification is
completed within a few months of course completion. We provide case studies to help understand the concepts
and apply them for the examinations . The objective is that our participants clear the examinations at the first
